1/5/2014 4:49:00 AM - Album Page Update
I've modified the album pages in two ways. Now thumbnails with a description written for them are identified by a border around the respective thumbnails. Just hover your cursor over those images to see the descriptions. More importantly, I've placed the thumbnails into a scrollable box. Now you no longer have to scroll down the entire page whenever you've selected an image and want to view another in the same location. It makes the page much more usable for large albums. ~James

1/3/2014 4:15:00 AM - Taiwan Pictures Up!
I've posted the pictures from Taiwan/Korea. They're spread across 7 albums, so enter at your own risk! I'll try to get around to adding commentary to some of the more interesting (in my opinion) photos to give them better context. But for now, you can just look through them and go by the general description for each album. I really enjoyed that trip, so I hope you'll enjoy some of the pictures we took. ~James

I dumped the photos from my 2009 cruise into three separate albums. Check them out if you're bored. I think there's about 1100 pictures in total. Next up will be the Taiwan trip pictures which I'll try to post by the weekend. Expect about 3000 in that bunch across 5 or so albums! ~James

To test the album page with the new database, I uploaded a small album with pics of me unicycling in the snow and Michelle walking. It's kinda annoying. Every table that had an auto-incrementing id column no longer auto-increments and has to be recreated. ~James

I added an astronomy page. As of now, it just includes my history with astronomy. In the future I plan to have links to bring up my observation logs in case my story wasn't boring enough for you ;-) ~James

The about me description has been updated. Also, a bunch of database stuff that you can't see has been updated as well. Time for bed. FYI, times are in UTC for now until I get around to formatting them for local. I.e. it's not as late as it looks :-) ~James

12/31/2013 2:30:00 AM - An Update, Finally!
Since I've gotten deeper into unicycling and astronomy, and have developed strong interests in motorcycling and skiing, I've decided to try to get back into updating this site to reflect this stuff...We'll see how it goes. My HTML and ASP skills have dulled quite a bit so it'll be slow. I also have to adjust from all my preconfigured stuff on the old Windows laptop to Ubuntu which I now use, almost exclusively, at home. Apparantly I can no longer write to the database I used to use due to changes with my hosting provider, so I had to migrate everything over to a new database and update some code here and there. If any database errors still show up then that's probably why. You may notice that I've done away with the calendar, silly self portrait, and the experimental color scheme changer...or you may not since nothing's changed in a few years and you haven't been here since. I may try to work in a new and modern photo album at some point, but we'll see since the old one still works. Other goals include unicycling, motorcycling, and astronomy sections with updates as to what I'm doing in those fields accordingly. No promises on when anything will happen. Finally, Merry Christmas (belated) and a happy new year to you! ~James

2/10/2006 - Brace Youself
I have a few announcements to make. First, my phone quit working again today. I think it's best to get a new one. If you need to contact me then use aim, email me, throw a rock at me, or something. Just don't try calling right now. Second, expect some major updaes this weekend. I just got approved for Federal Work Study for the remainder of the smester. I also found a Federal Work Study job that may allow me to get paid for developing in ASP. Thus, this site as well as the climbing site will probably be looked at when I apply. The climbing site is fine, but this one... well, you know. That's about it for now. ~James

12/6/2005 - What's Happening
First, and most importantly, my phone isn't working right now. I won't be able to take it in to have i looked at until friday. If I need a new one then that may not happen until I get back home in a wee and a half. Use email, aim, facebook, or if you let me know in advance you can use skype to contact me.
Second, I know I haven't been updating much, but I plan to do some major work here over the break. I haven't forgotton, I've just been busy with school.

An update! Amazing, I know. It's the Miami vs. Virginia game. We won of course. It was also my last home game as a band member. ~James

9/15/2005 - Two things
I've been pretty busy lately with school, so I haven't had much time to work on this. I squeezed in time for two updates today. I changed the color for event dates for the blue color scheme. They no longer look like the blank boxes. Also, I changed my picture on this page. There's a slightly different one for each of the color schemes. That's it for now. I have a bunch of stuff on paper, but I just haven't found the time to type it in. ~James

9/8/2005 - Back on the Dance Floor!
I started dancing again this week! I'm learning swing, salsa, and Argentine tango right now. I don't have time for ballroom :-( The Argentine tango is the only one that's completely new to me, and it's the first one that I've really struggled with. If you just know ballroom tango then you don't know Argentine. It's very different, and much more intimate. You can do the research yourself. No site updates right now. ~James

9/3/2005 - Album Updates
I created a new administrative page that allows me to easily add descriptions to any pictures in any of the albums. It's pretty sweet, but it seems like it could be more efficient. But hey, it works. Thus, the next update is that I've been adding descriptions, so go check them out. ~James

I added the picture and description thing above. I'll probably change the picture in the future. I started the page about me. I haven't written any text in there yet, but I did make a script to generate a random picture of me. I used my first arggregate funtion and SQL subquery in that! I also added an email system exactly like the one I used in the rock climbing site. I think that's about it for now. ~James

8/31/2005 - New Album
I added a picture album from when I did the supernumerary thing at the opera back in the spring. I've been thinking about the design for the site, but I haven't implemented anything yet. ~James

I was going to wait to put this up, but I couldn't. Not only does it change when you submit, but if you have cookies enabled then it'll remember your preference the next time you visit! ~James
